Maxima Fresnel Reflector with Barndoors

Fresnel lenses have always been a cornerstone of cinematic lighting setups, celebrated for their ability to concentrate light into powerful, focused beams. By replicating the intensity and hard shadows of natural sunlight, they create a dramatic, three-dimensional look that enhances the subject while casting crisp, defined shadows.

That’s cinematic lighting, for photography also.
For flash users, the Maxima Fresnel Reflector opens a world of possibilities that were previously out of reach. Most flash systems excel at producing broad, soft light, but lack the ability to focus and shape light as effectively as a Fresnel lens. By pairing the Maxima Fresnel Reflector with your Maxima or Profoto® RFi-compatible flash head, you can transform your light source into a tool capable of producing dramatic, hard-edged shadows and controlled beams.

The result? A natural, sun-like beam with hard, sharp shadows, ideal for use as both key light and backlight, without the need for other light sources. You can now increase the distance between the subject and the flash, taking advantage of the “fall-off tail”, just like on film sets. This results in a wider range of movement of the subject, which will not suffer the drop of brightness as its position changes far from the light source.
Easy mounting and low weight make the Maxima Fresnel Reflector the best accessory for creating an expressive, cinematic look with both Profoto flash and Maxima continuous light.

The Maxima Fresnel Reflector takes the classic fresnel design to the next level. Designed with meticulous attention to detail, we’ve optimized the focusing capabilities and the source-to-lens distance to ensure the sharpest shadows without any fringing or color degradation. This unparalleled performance is achieved through the use of precision-engineered Borosilicate Glass by Schott® in Germany, a material known for its exceptional optical clarity and durability.

Its lightweight, easy-to-use design allows for effortless attachment and detachment and for fast operations with just one hand, making it a perfect addition to any professional’s toolkit.
