Hardware-Level Security Configuration
For defense-focused configurations, Maxima physically removes the BLE / Bluetooth radio-frequency transmitter from the device. The transmitter is not present in the unit and cannot be re-enabled through software.
Unlike products that only disable wireless functionality, this configuration removes the radio hardware while preserving full manual operation through exterior controls.
| Standard wireless light | Maxima defense-focused configuration |
|---|---|
| Wireless module may remain onboard. | Radio-frequency transmitter physically removed |
| Wireless may be disabled through software. | Wireless hardware is not present in the unit. |
| Functionality may depend on apps, menus, pairing, or connected-device controls. | Manual exterior controls remain fully functional. |
Defense-Specific Configuration Options
Defense applications often require equipment to meet environment-specific, facility-specific, or procurement-specific needs. Maxima can support configuration discussions for select defense-focused products, including firmware behavior, manual-control behavior, finish, mounting, deployment, power, battery, and light-output requirements where feasible.
-
Firmware customization
Firmware behavior can be reviewed for specific defense, facility, or operational requirements.
-
Special paint or finish
Custom finish options may be available for environment-specific visibility, durability, or operational requirements.
-
Mounting considerations
Configuration support may include mounting, rigging, or installation considerations for mobile, facility, lab, or production environments.
-
Deployment considerations
Maxima can support discussions around how the system will be transported, powered, set up, operated, and maintained in the intended environment.
-
Power and battery configuration
Power options, V-mount battery compatibility, and mobile/off-grid use can be reviewed against the application.
-
Light specifications
Output, color performance, beam characteristics, fixture configuration, and application-specific lighting requirements can be reviewed for specific configuration.
Built for standalone operation.
Defense teams need equipment that works without extra setup, network access, or connected-device dependencies. Maxima defense-focused lighting systems operate as local, self-contained tools that can be powered, adjusted, and deployed directly by the operator.
No pairing sequence. No app login. No cloud service. No network configuration. No external ballast.
-
Manual control
Exterior controls allow immediate adjustment without software access or connected devices.
-
Mobile power
V-mount battery compatibility supports mobile, field, and off-grid operation.
-
Fast setup
The system is designed for quick deployment without network configuration or wireless pairing.
-
Standalone use
The light operates independently as a professional lighting tool, not as a connected device.
Choose the light for the mission.
Not every defense workflow needs the same fixture. Some teams need a compact light that travels with the kit. Others need higher output for hangars, maintenance bays, shipyards, labs, or controlled production environments.
Maxima’s DoD-focused lineup gives teams a practical range of lighting options - from mobile field deployment to maximum-output bi-color illumination - with select configurations available for hardware-level radio removal and standalone manual operation.

No black-box engineering.
Defense procurement is not just about what a product does. It is about who controls the design, who controls the firmware, and who can answer for the configuration.
Maxima owns the engineering, software, and firmware behind its lighting systems. For defense-focused applications, that gives buyers a direct path to the people responsible for how the product works — from manual-control behavior to firmware review and configuration support.
Maxima is 100% European-owned, with no outside controlling interests.
Why it matters
- Product design is controlled by Maxima
- Firmware and software are controlled by Maxima
- Configuration questions can be reviewed with the manufacturer
- Special requirements do not depend on unknown third-party product owners
- Technical accountability stays close to the source
