For flash users, the Maxima Fresnel Reflector opens a world of possibilities that were previously out of reach. Most flash systems excel at producing broad, soft light, but lack the ability to focus and shape light as effectively as a Fresnel lens. By pairing the Maxima Fresnel Reflector with your Maxima or Profoto® RFi-compatible flash head, you can transform your light source into a tool capable of producing dramatic, hard-edged shadows and controlled beams.

The result? A natural, sun-like beam with hard, sharp shadows, ideal for use as both key light and backlight, without the need for other light sources. You can now increase the distance between the subject and the flash, taking advantage of the “fall-off tail”, just like on film sets. This results in a wider range of movement of the subject, which will not suffer the drop of brightness as its position changes far from the light source.

Designed with meticulous attention to detail, we’ve optimized the focusing capabilities and the source-to-lens distance to ensure the sharpest shadows without any fringing or color degradation. This unparalleled performance is achieved through the use of precision-engineered Borosilicate Glass by Schott® in Germany, a material known for its exceptional optical clarity and durability.
