Powering Rapida with a V-Mount Battery – Technical Requirements
To operate Maxima Rapida safely and at full performance when using V-Mount batteries, it is essential to choose batteries with the correct constant current discharge capacity (also known as continuous load).
- 14.8V batteries: require a minimum of 10 Amps of constant current
- 26V batteries: require a minimum of 8 Amps of constant current
This value differs from peak load or max current — it must represent the current the battery can deliver continuously, regardless of charge level. Using batteries below these thresholds may cause malfunction or permanent damage to both the light and the battery.
If you’re unsure about your battery’s specifications, we recommend:
- Reviewing the manufacturer’s datasheet or label
- Referring to the Maxima Rapida manual for our list of compatible batteries
- Contacting Maxima Support to confirm compatibility
